Southbank

I couldn’t call myself a London Blogger if I didn’t do the obvious post along the Southbank.  I was kindly sent this beautiful Joseph ‘Dora’ dress which is in one of my favourite colours, hot pink!  I love to style feminine pieces like this with black leather to grunge it up a bit.  I teamed it with my Balenciaga bag, ankle boots and Biker jacket.  The effect to me just says ‘British’.  The British style is so unique and full of character.  I like that us Brits aren’t clean-cut and polished.  This is why I shot this outfit here at this location, this is the heart of London, where I feel incredibly proud to live in this city.  Joseph have some really gorgeous dresses this season so you should head to their website to check our their collection!

#TrickorTreat With Boohoo.com

I teamed up with Boohoo.com to bring you these two Halloween themed outfits in aid of….well Halloween!  Whatever you’ve got going on this Halloween boohoo have got some great outfits for both Trick or Treat (#trickortreat).  For my ‘Trick outfit I chose this edgy camo sweatshirt with leather details.  I teamed it with some leather joggers and sandals for a street-chic look.  My ‘Treat’ outfit is more dramatic, this gorgeous ‘Faye’ black maxi dress with cut out mesh paneled details is perfect for Halloween!  I teamed the dress with some lace cat ears (Thanks for those Boohoo!) for a feline feel.  Anyway check out what’s new on Boohoo and the rest of their #trickortreat range here!

My New Staple

I‘ve been waiting in all day for some parcels to arrive and they still haven’t come and its now almost 4pm which means I’ve pretty much lost an entire day 😦  I have such a busy schedule this week with lots of shoots to do so this is not ideal.  This gorgeous Betty Jackson coat should have way more glamorous surroundings than my shoddy back garden but as I’m confined to the house today, this is the best it’s first outing will get.  The coat is just beautiful and I’ve been patiently waiting for the right ‘pink coat’.  After the famed M&S one sold out within the blink of an eye, leaving me empty handed I was pretty disheartened.  Then I saw this one on the Debenhams advert and noticed they had up to 25% off coats…..whoop!  I managed to scoop my size in the Oxford Street branch and I couldn’t be happier.  If there was one item I was desperate to get my hands on this season, it was this coat.  Expect to see much more of this coat!

Primark Pas Givenchy

Well done, yet again, to Primark!  They have created this Givenchy-easque Bambi sweatshirt for only ten of our British pounds.  Hoorah!  I’ve styled mine up in the most givenchy way possible, cinching in at the waist with a thin belt and blinging up with a glitzy skirt and accessories.  I’d also like to try this with some leather trousers and see how it can be grunged up.  Either way it’s a bargain and is bound to sell out fast so to avoid paying double the price for it on eBay, get yours now!  I got mine yesterday in the Marble Arch store on Oxford Street.

MUA Matte Lipsticks Tried & Tested

As I’m now getting more into my beauty posts you should definitely expect to see more!  Fashion and Beauty go hand in hand so I’m going to feature a lot more of my favourite beauty products on the blog, but don’t worry, there will still be plenty of outfit posts for those of you who love those too!
So I’ve been obsessing over MUA for some time now, and I recently saw on their Facebook page that they had brought out these gorgeous Matte lipsticks…for £1!!!  So I went out and bought them all!  I do prefer a matte lipstick over something with more sheen because I don’t find them as sticky and I just like the way they look in general, but it also depends on the look you’re going for and the occasion.  So I thought I’d test these out for you and show you how they look on my lips.  Apologies I don’t have gorgeous lips like the lovely Tanya Burr, sniff sniff 😦
There’s 5 shades altogether and I pretty much like all of them (surprise, surprise!).  The coolest thing about these lip colours is that you have the stick of colour and also a little pot which unscrews at the bottom, which is ideal if you like a apply your lipstick with a brush…bonus!  I just applied mine in the normal way, using the stick of colour directly on my lips with no liner, primer or gloss.  I just wanted you to see the product on it’s own.  Obviously you could use a gloss over the top and give more definition by using on of MUA’s lip liners too.  The colour goes on easliy enough, I did have to apply quite a few layers of the ‘Wild berry’ just to get a really deep colour and again by using a liner first on your lips you could achieve a much more dramatic and solid colour.  Let me know what you think and which colour is your favourite?

You can buy these lip colours online at muastore.co.uk also online at superdrug.com and in Superdrug stores

F&F West Kensington Opens Today

Picture property of F&F

On Wednesday I was invited to check out the new F&F Boutique (before it’s official opening today) which is situated on a modern mezzanine overlooking West Cromwell Road.  It’s not at all what you would expect from the typical clothing range within a supermarket.  Hats off (literally, check out the lighting!) to the F&F team for pulling this one off seamlessly.  The boutique itself is large and spacious with a layout and style that you’d expect from a stand alone store.  The staff are beyond helpful and the collections have certainly gained my thumbs up!  You can also shop the online exclusives from the first London F&F Online Kiosk, which enables orders to be placed for the full extended online range.  Whatever you’re style I really would urge you to take a trip to this store, it’s a taste of what’s to come for the future of F&F.
Anita Bolger, Brand and Marketing Director of F&F comments “This is an exciting chapter in F&F’s journey with the opening of a central London, dedicated ladieswear boutique.  The interiors created for this store bring to life the F&F collections in a  modern and inviting way which will enhance our customers shopping experience”.

I’ve been lucky enough to be gifted with some gorgeous pieces to style from their AW13 collection so stay tuned for some outfit posts and style ideas with those next week 🙂

Also check out the catwalk show from their AW13 collection here on YouTube!

Waiting

This morning I headed off to West Kensington to see the new F&F boutique, which some of you may have formerly know as Clothing at Tesco.  It is no longer simply Clothing. At. Tesco, I’ll tell you that much!  I will be doing a full post on this gorgeous new store and their awesome AW13 and Christmas collections separately so I don’t want to spoil it too much.  But I will say this, if you live in London, get your ass down there as of Friday 25th October when the F&F boutique opens officially to the public, it’s something that just can’t be missed.  Well done to the team that’s worked so hard on this, it’s really going to be ‘the one to beat’!  In the meantime, check out their current collections online here.
