The Chop!

So this happened today.  New year, new hair.  I’d been toying with the idea of having a long bob for a while now and I often change my hair through getting bored so it was definitely time for a new look.  I looked at endless pictures on Pinterest last night and then just decided to go for it when I woke up this morning.  I love it and not all of my ombre was cut off, I’ve just got some slightly lighter bits right on the ends which looks kinda’ cool.  I might add some highlights in there at some point but for now, I’m lovin’ my new do 🙂

Christmas 2013

A belated Merry Christmas to you all!  I hope you all had a wonderful day and I hope Santa brought you everything you asked for.  I spent the day at my house with my other half, my mum and dad and my family of Chihuahuas.  As you can see from the above picture our fur babies were treated to matching hand made fleece jumpers from their Grandma (They also have matching scarves in the same fabric…as do me and my boyfriend!).  I’m prepping for New Years now so I plan on doing some festive outfits posts over the next few days, so if like me, you’re not a fan of a sequin mini dress, stay tuned for some alternative NYE outfit ideas.

Anyone else starting to have a meltdown about their Christmas shopping?  I do always leave it pretty late (not xmas eve late!) to do it and every year I never learn!  I always have general ideas about what to get people but then I forget about shipping timescales and the good ideas turn into not possible ideas.  I’m planning on doing some serious internet shopping today in the hope that I find some inspiration!  Also, how hard are Dad’s to buy for?!!!! Nightmare!
Annnnnnd I’d like to take this opportunity to say a big congratulations to one of my Blogger besties, Tijan, who got engaged on Wednesday evening, yaaaaaaay 🙂

Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2014

It’s time for the pre-fall collections again and I must admit this is where I get most of my inspiration from.  Especially with such prestigious brands like Burberry hitting up collections like this!  Christopher Bailey has always done wonders when it come’s to Burberry and making the collections wearable (unlike some other designers) is probably his strongest suit.  This collection made me reminisce back to the AW12 RTW collection, you remember the one with the owls right?  Well I loved that collection, and this pre-fall range has hints of the pencil skirt teamed with the printed tee and chunky jacket (albeit sans the heeled hiker boots which I deem to be an awful shame!).  Texture appears to be back for another Autumn seeing a mixture of fur, lace, bonded satin and brocade.  Much like the Gucci collection of AW11 jewel tones are key here; Saphire blue, Emerald, Ruby and even a Turquoise thrown in for the more adventurous.  It’s wearable and feminine and gives me just cause to get excited about the RTW collection which will be showcased in February.

To Make It Suit

Well folks by the end of this week I should have something rather spectacular to show you in the way of my new dressing room!  There’s been a few weeks of DIY going on in our spare bedroom to build a new giant wardrobe to add to the existing 2 I already have.  Today I’ll be organising some of my clothes into the new wardrobe so I’ll be in my element!  I love organising my collection, and it will also mean a huge detox so I’m hoping to get some bits on eBay very soon!
