Finally an outfit post with the famed ASOS Dockland skate shoes that I’ve been wanging on about for the last week. ¬†Thanks to all of you who sent me tweets and pictures of you wearing yours after seeing them on the blog, I’m glad I could be of service ūüôā
I think I’ve spoken about the simplicity of this kind of look before but honestly you just can’t go wrong with a jeans/tee/blazer combo, then just add your accessories to make it your own.

Gingham x Leather

We first saw these fascinating faux-sleeves tied around the waists of Celine coats and dresses for AW13 and now they’ve stuck around for SS14; DKNY added a sleeve-belt to a simple and classic white shirt dress (Which I’m thinking would make a simple DIY project). ¬†It never takes long for the high street to cotton on to specific trends/designs and here Zara have knocked up their own version.

I‘m pretty excited because tonight I’ve been invited to a live (from Paris) screening of the H&M Studio collection at H&M HQ in London. ¬†I’ve been an avid fan of H&M for years now and it’s so great to be invited to such an event! ¬†Their last collection was incredible and I invested in plenty of items from the previous Autumn/Winter collection (The blue sleeveless coat and embellished trousers). ¬†I can’t wait to see what they’re got on offer for us for SS14!

The ‘Ugly’ Shoe Edit

Two Strap Footbed Sandals РNext

As the great Daphne and Celeste once said ‘U.G.L.Y. you aint got no alibi you uglay, hey hey, you uglay’. ¬†Now I’ve gone and done it, I’ve joined the ‘ugly’ shoe brigade! ¬†There’s no escaping them for SS14, the ugly shoe is here to stay and it’s BIG! ¬†We’re talking about the chunky Birkenstock-style slides that were seen everywhere all over the Runway back in September and now they’re filtering into stores/online/everywhere in life in a huge way. ¬†There will be some of you that say ‘Ew, hate them, no way’ but I said that back in November time when I saw them at literally every single press day I attended. ¬†They are unflattering like all practical things but there’s just something about them; they’re like a pug, ugly but cute. ¬†So, like most hideous trends, they have now grown on me, and now I’m somewhat obsessed! ¬†Therefore in honour of my new obsession I’ve compiled a little ‘Edit’ of the ugly shoes for you from both the high street and designer labels. ¬†

!function(d,s,id){ var e, p = /^http:/.test(d.location) ? ‘http’ : ‘https’; if(!d.getElementById(id)) { e = d.createElement(s); = id; e.src = p + ‘://’ + ‘’ + ‘/js/widget.js’; d.body.appendChild(e); window.__rewardstyle = {isAdblock:function(){ var a = d.querySelectorAll(‘.rs-adblock’); for(var i=0;i<a.length;i++) a[i].innerHTML = 'Turn off your ad blocker to view content'; }}; } if(typeof window.__moneyspot === 'object' && document.readyState === 'complete') { window.__moneyspot.init(); } }(document, 'script', 'moneyspot-script');

Spring Is In The Air

Spring is definitely in the air! ¬†Yesterday we were at 14 degrees! ¬†I can’t believe the mild winter we’ve had but now debates are rising as to the degree of Summer that we should expect here in the UK. ¬†I think it’s safe to say, as always, hopes are not high, but time will tell. ¬†With it not being ‘coat weather’ I pretty much live in leather jackets, or in this case pleather. ¬†I went for a contrasting floral/biker look today and I even matched my nails with a bit of nail art. ¬†To sotfen this look I could swap the boots for a gorgeous pair of simple, mid heel courts like these Pale pink Topshop ones which I’m currently lusting after!

Marks & Spencer: Best of British

During London Fashion Week I was invited to the Best of British presentation by Marks & Spencer. ¬†The collection consists of 54 pieces including outerwear, footwear and leather accessories, all of which have been manufactured in Britain. ¬†Carefully selected fabrics from British suppliers have been used to create each piece of the collection; knitwear from Scotland, shoes from Northamptonshire and outerwear from Manchester. ¬†Now while this collection celebrates high quality and design with luxurious finishes the opening price point is only ¬£59! ¬†M&S say this about their AW14 inspo: ‘Autumn 14 sees jacquard florals meet herringbone in a fusion of modernity and the traditional. ¬†A strong silhouette, bold print and superior attention to detail underpin the spirit of this collection. ¬†Earthy hues and vivid colour highlights define the palette, as soft navy and warm rust are offset with hot red and royal blue in a luxurious and vibrant autumn representation’. ¬†I have to also mention the simple and yet gorgeous hair & make-up which to me just screams British! ¬†A low pony with a side part and slight volume at the crown paired with a matte red lip; so simple yet very effective! ¬†I filmed the whole presentation on my Nokia Lumia 1020 so you can see how the fabrics move and see how the pieces work as a collection. ¬†Check out my video below…
