Today I’m integrating one of my favourite George pieces (Biker jacket) with my existing wardrobe.  I think a biker jacket is an absolute must for anyone’s wardrobe and it’s certainly staple for me (as you may have noticed!).  I’ve teamed it with my new Victoria Beckham boyfriend jeans (Thanks Coggles!) and a simple Topshop knit with the occasional accessory.  It’s an easy casual outfit so I added some black suede courts just to give ‘umph’ to the look although for running around the city I’d probably swap those for my Nike Free Runs or Converse.

East Coast Live

Courtesy of F+F Clothing and BlinkBox Music I was sent to East Coast Live on Saturday.  Now I’m not actually that obsessed by music, if I hear a song I like…I like it, but I don’t go out of my way to see music live etc.  That said, as my experience with live music is limited, East Coast Live was pretty good, minus the torrential rain when I got there.  I did have a backstage pass so I wasn’t based at the front of the stage but I got a nice cushty view from the side of the stage to watch all the acts; Neon Jungle, Union J, 5 Seconds of Summer, Jason Derulo, The Saturdays and Jessie J to name but a few.  Being backstage I got to see all the artists is their ‘natural environment’ and caught a lovely sight of Marvin & Rochelle Humes with their gorgeous little daughter just being a normal family, granted the little one has pop star parents but that’ll be the norm for her!  I also spotted Jason Derulo (You gotta sing that to get the full effect!) and his tribe of dancers pumping themselves up before they went on stage, it was like filming a rare bird doing some kind of mating dance…I did feel borderline Attenborough-esque.
Outfit-wise I went for a pair of F+F short dungarees with a cropped jumper worn underneath and a check shirt tied around my waist.  (Full links and outfit details below)

21st Century Marilyn

Hello Monday, I’m glad to see you, I’ve had a pretty action packed weekend!  On Saturday I was sent to the East Coat Live Festival in Ipswich courtesy of F+F Clothing and BlinkBox Music.  Some of you might have seen the odd picture on Instagram but I wasn’t able to upload as much as I wanted because there was zero 4G signal there.  Why is that when you go to a big event like that, and even at Fashion Week, the main area becomes a huge mobile signal black hole?!  Tres annoying!  Anyway I’ll be doing a full post on all those shenanigans tomorrow.  In the mean time I’ll leave you with today’s outfit which is exactly what the titles says, a 21st century Marilyn.

Biker. Neon. Stripe.

We’re due another glorious weekend in London and I for one will be enjoying the sun in my garden and optimistically trying to get a March tan.  I’ve got lots of Beauty posts for you this weekend including the foundation you’ve all been asking me about from my other beauty posts, some face masks by Lacura (Yep, that’s Aldi beauty!), some Gel nail polishes from George at Asda and also some Micellar Waters.
Whatever you’re up to this weekend I hope you have a great one!

There’s a big buzz around Co-ordinates this season and I must admit other than a suit I’ve never tried the whole matchy-matchy thing.  I first saw this Dorothy Perkins check skirt and thought it would be great in summer with a simple white tee, I picked it up at a Blogger Swap Shop held by Voucher Codes just over a week ago and then when shopping in DP I saw the matching top and had to give co-ords a try.  There’s also some great sets on ASOS and a few pieces now coming in at Miss Selfridge and Topshop.
