Oversize

So we’re on Day 2 of my takeover with George at Asda and today I’ve gone for this rather slouchy, boho vibe.  This over-sized floral shirt is perfect for layering over jeans or leggings if you’re that way inclined.  The print is so pretty and perfect for this season and best of all the shirt is chiffon and bat-winged…thus meaning lightweight and airy on the old armpits (oh yes!).  These boyfriend jeans are some of the best that I’ve seen on the high street as they really are a boy fit, none of this high waisted ‘mom’ fit nonsense.  They come as full length jeans but I’ve turned them up so I could pop on  pair of heels and just polish the look slightly.  I don’t go anywhere without keeping a pair of flats with me so these super-comfy jeweled sandals are perfect for a quick change in this summer heat when one feels the need to dash up and down the tube escalators.  Please note, I don’t partake in this kind of activity for fun, I’m just always rushing to get somewhere

Leather & Sheer

I wore this outfit last week to a party held by ASOS (#EpicSummer) and therefore it was only polite to wear ASOS (Dress)!  I bought this dress a couple of months back with a voucher they sent me, but like most things it went straight into my wardrobe and seemed to be forgotten about.  On the day of the party it just seemed to shout at me from within the dark and cramped conditions of the vast vessel that is my wardrobe.  Don’t judge me for wearing flats to a party, as you all well know, flats for me are a rarity but this was a summer garden party kinda theme so these Dune Jolene slides were the perfect partners for my dress.

Festival Style: Neon Vibes

As I’ve been wanging on about for the last couple of weeks, this week is all about Festival Style here on EJstyle.  Us brits love a good Festival and what’s more is that this is the time to really try something different with your style.  Anything goes during a festival, so this week I’ll be bringing you some ideas on festival styling ala me.  Ironically I’m not, yes not, actually going to any festivals this year which I’m regretting now after shooting this feature all week because there are some great festival themed pieces on the high street right now.  But hey, if anyone wants to pop me in there rucksack and take me along to a festival, do feel free!
Kicking off Festival Style Week I went for a Coachella vibe with this neon palm print coord from MissGuided teamed with a cool denim jacket covered in retro patches (also MissGuided).  Finishing the look with some miss-matched brightly coloured nails, neon sunnies and a fedora (coz I can’t live without them!).  Links to all the items in this outfit are below as usual.  Stay tuned for the rest of my festival outfits all this week!

B+W

I realise that I’ve done an awful lot of monochrome over the last few weeks but it’s just such an easy look to do and despite it being Spring, it’s still works.  Today’s look is just lots of basic pieces which make a chic smart/casual outfit for daily wear.  I’d say something like today’s look would be somewhat of a uniform for me.  I’d normally wear some Converse but I got these cute River Island loafers last week and they just add a slightly less casual feel to the look.

Palms

Gosh this week is going quick, we’re on Thursday already!  My holiday is now oh so close, so in keeping with the holiday spirit I’ve added some rather tropical palm print to today’s attire.  In other news, I’m waiting in for a rather special delivery of some shiz hot shoes today (uber excited!) and then this evening I’m off to a Motel event with my blogger gal pals.

For You

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last 3 days, unfortunately I lost my Nanny Jean on Saturday so I haven’t really been feeling like posting.  I know she was proud of my blog and what I do so Nanny Jean this one’s for you!

This Is My Marant

Today I’ve been in Greenwich shooting with the lovely Annie from ApiphannieA.  We’re both South East London birds so we’re very lucky to have Greenwich right on our doorstep to act as the backdrop for outfit posts.  Today’s outfit is totally Isabel Marant inspired.  As I missed out on the H&M collection that launched last week I thought I’d make my own and also show you that you can get the look for so much less, even less than the H&M collection!  Both the cardi and jeans are Forever 21 and if you check out their website or one of their stores you’ll see the aztec influence all over.  There are so many chunky knits and detailed jeans like these that creating you’re own Marant-esque look is easy!
