It’s In The Detail

It’s all about those little details, fringing, lace, tassels, embellishment; and the G21 range at George has it all.  This little cami dress with beaded embellishment is perfect for festivals, chilling in the park, partying, a beach/pool cover-up…it’s a beaded all-rounder!  I’ve teamed it with this rather jazzy tassled statement necklace and lace fringed kimono which is the ideal cover-up for summer.

George At Asda Takeover

This week I’m doing an Instagram Blogger Takeover with George at Asda so make sure you follow their account (@georgeatasda) to see exclusive pics!  They have some great pieces in right now and it’s all so affordable.  I’m a big lover of the G21 range because there are some amazing prints and styles to choose from.  I love these shorts from the G21 range and they are a great day to night piece.  The guys at George have spoilt me and sent me loads from their current range so stay tuned for the rest of the week to check out my other outfits!

Almost Famous SS14 Press Day

It’s that time of year again where I’m off around London for the Spring/Summer press days.  It seems bizarre that in these suddenly baltic temperatures, I’m checking out floaty dresses, swimwear and flip flops!  Earlier on this week I went to the Almost Famous press day which was held in the press office of their store on Percy Street.  I only discovered this brand in August but it’s already a firm favourite of mine!  As soon as I walked into the room I was hit with a blast of colour.  Once I recovered from my initial excitement attack I checked out their pieces in more detail.  Lace! Oh my so much lace, but in neons and pastels.  I couldn’t love anything more this season than lace (albeit dark and gothic for AW13) but I am so pleased they have created so many lace pieces in fresh citrus bursts.  One of my must-have pieces is this gorgeous tangerine lace printed statement blazer (above).  I can just picture wearing it with my trusty washed out boyfriend jeans, a tee and simple nude strappy heels.  Another item to add to my wish list is the cobalt blue lace applique dress (which does also come in cream, pictured below).  Cobalt blue is huge for next season and the intricate detailing of the applique is just too pretty to resist.  Obviously having always been a neon freak, I also fell head over heels for the neon yellow lace pencil skirt…I want to wear this now!  I’d soooo rock that for Autumn/Winter with a black chunky knit and black ankle boots.  There’s plenty more besides lace, we’ve got some Matthew Williamson-esque peacock print, delicately embellished shell tops, some tweed textured blazers and an array of bold technicolour summer dresses to last you the whole season.  I just can’t wait for this collection to be released!  Check out all my pictures below and see which are my top picks from this colourful SS14 collection.

WANT  IT! Oh my god I want it!!!!

I wish this was out now, MUST-HAVE!

You’ll have to excuse the rushed shittyness of today’s pictures, admittedly, not as much effort has gone into today’s photography as normal.  I never thought I’d be back to the poor backdrop of my garden but I didn’t want to miss out on today’s outfit.  I realise now this is a the second day in a row where I’m rather gothicly head to toe in black, so I promise I will inject some colour later on in the week.
