Floral Grid

I‘ve always had a thing about stripes and florals.  Every time I wear something floral I instantly find myself search for a striped piece to fit into the ensemble somehow.  I got these floral check dungarees from Missguided last week and have been waiting for a slightly cooler day to wear them.  They are a lightweight fabric but with this heat I need to be wearing the bare minimum amount of fabric.

A Pretty Print

I was asked by MissGuided to pick a playsuit or jumpsuit from their site and style it in my own way.  I chose this gorgeous ‘Kobyla’ Cherry Blossom printed playsuit as I thought it would be cute for summer and show off my newly acquired tan.  It’s a silky fabric with a low cut back and the print is beautiful!  I styled it with my obligatory blazer, nude heels and a pastel pink bag for a feminine touch.  Check out their other jumpsuits and playsuits here, the ultimate wardrobe staples for summer!

Festival Style: Feminine Textures

Well it’s the last look of my Festival Style Week.  Thank you everyone for your lovely comments, I hope you have enjoyed them and maybe got some inspiration if you’re off to a festival this summer.  This final look is a mixture of feminine textures; ruffles, sequins and lace.  The skirt (River Island) is quite simply immense, it’s completely covered in embellishment and makes for a perfect statement festival piece.  It could be teamed with a distressed band tee and pair of ankle boots for as it was my last look of the week I went for a more dressed up look.

Big thanks to all the brands who got involved with this week and also thank you to my mum for taking my pictures.  I think you’ll all agree she did a sterling job, only thing is, she now thinks she’s bloody Annie Leibovitz!

Festival Style: Mohawk

This festival look would probably be closest to what I’d actually wear to a festival.  I love ripped jeans, in fact, I live in them so these MissGuided busted-knee jeans would be a must for me.  The H&M top with the delicate fringing adds a slightly feminine touch to the look and lets face it, it wouldn’t be a festival outfit without some kind of fringe!  The jacket (F&F) is super lightweight so won’t make you overheat, best of all it’s totally wearable outside of a festival…unlike my totally awesome headgear!  Now I wouldn’t personally don a feather mohawk mooching around Oxford Street however, like I said at the beginning of the week, at a festival, anything goes! Be adventurous!

Top – H&M
Tassle Necklace – H&M
Articulated Leaf Ring – H&M

Festival Style: Woodstock Western

We’re on Day 2 of my Festival Style Week and today I wanted to go for the western/boho trend we see so much of at festivals.  This look just has accents of ‘western’ with the fringed MissGuided jacket and turquoise detailed belt.  You could go all out and add some cowgirl boots and straw hat but I wanted just a subtle touch to mix with the bohemian elements, so it has almost a Woodstock feel about it.
Thank you to my gorgeous long faced co-star ‘Rolly’ for being such a good neddy and posing with me.  Thank you also must go to his humans Liz & Jenna for letting me use him in this post.

Belt – H&M
Turquoise ‘Arty Ring’ – YSL
Round Turquoise Stone Ring – Juicy Couture

Festival Style: Neon Vibes

As I’ve been wanging on about for the last couple of weeks, this week is all about Festival Style here on EJstyle.  Us brits love a good Festival and what’s more is that this is the time to really try something different with your style.  Anything goes during a festival, so this week I’ll be bringing you some ideas on festival styling ala me.  Ironically I’m not, yes not, actually going to any festivals this year which I’m regretting now after shooting this feature all week because there are some great festival themed pieces on the high street right now.  But hey, if anyone wants to pop me in there rucksack and take me along to a festival, do feel free!
Kicking off Festival Style Week I went for a Coachella vibe with this neon palm print coord from MissGuided teamed with a cool denim jacket covered in retro patches (also MissGuided).  Finishing the look with some miss-matched brightly coloured nails, neon sunnies and a fedora (coz I can’t live without them!).  Links to all the items in this outfit are below as usual.  Stay tuned for the rest of my festival outfits all this week!

Colours on Nails – Barry M Summer Gelly in ‘Damson’ and ‘Pink Punch’
