21st Century Marilyn

Hello Monday, I’m glad to see you, I’ve had a pretty action packed weekend!  On Saturday I was sent to the East Coat Live Festival in Ipswich courtesy of F+F Clothing and BlinkBox Music.  Some of you might have seen the odd picture on Instagram but I wasn’t able to upload as much as I wanted because there was zero 4G signal there.  Why is that when you go to a big event like that, and even at Fashion Week, the main area becomes a huge mobile signal black hole?!  Tres annoying!  Anyway I’ll be doing a full post on all those shenanigans tomorrow.  In the mean time I’ll leave you with today’s outfit which is exactly what the titles says, a 21st century Marilyn.

Pastel Agenda

Well with all this glorious weather we’re having here in London it’d be rude not to rock a pastel shade or two.  One huge trend this season was pastel coloured leather (or ‘pleather’ in this case), and this pale blue biker screamed ‘buy me’ when I spotted it in Miss Selfridge the other day.  I’ve teamed it with these gorgeous nude culottes (Dorothy Perkins) and some black leather accessories.  As you can tell the ‘Boy’ is my new favourite bag, apologies if it just so happens to make a cameo in every single outfit…ever!

Twosie

I featured this skirt last week on it’s own but it actually came as a set with the matching top and was kindly sent to me by Persunmall.  This set is actually available at Zara but it’s sold as separates and would cost you £70 to buy them both together but the cost from Persunmall is only £23.23!  There’s a lot of Zara pieces on the website for much cheaper than you can buy them in a Zara store because most of their stock is made in China and these chinese websites simply bring us the best fashion direct from the manufacturer.  Check out their website here.

Surfs Up

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and if you took part in the London Marathon I’m sure you’re all in severe pain, but well done!  I watched the marathon from the comfort of my sofa with a giant bar of chocolate and some Pringles, because that’s how I roll.
We’re kicking off this week with glorious weather (In London anyway) so today’s outfit is a little surf inspired, not that I’ll be surfing the Thames any time soon! Ewww, can you imagine?  Anywho, I’m not feeling very organised right now so today I’ll be planing out my week as I have some exciting events coming up.
