Floral Grid

I‘ve always had a thing about stripes and florals.  Every time I wear something floral I instantly find myself search for a striped piece to fit into the ensemble somehow.  I got these floral check dungarees from Missguided last week and have been waiting for a slightly cooler day to wear them.  They are a lightweight fabric but with this heat I need to be wearing the bare minimum amount of fabric.

So Fancy

I have some amazing news today!  I was nominated for an ASOS Fashion Finder Award a few weeks back and yesterday I found out that I won!!!  The award I was up for was for ‘Working the Trends’ and I’m so honored to be selected as the winner as I do love my trends 🙂  Check out the other award winners and runners-up here on the Fashion Finder website.  This is my first award as a blogger and after almost 6 years of blogging it really is a pleasure to receive.  I’m not all about awards, I love to see tweets, emails, comments etc from you  guys hearing that you enjoy my blog and that makes all the hard work worth while…but this is a welcome treat for me 🙂

Just Because

Last night I went off to East London to shoot some summer looks with John Lewis for their June blogger edit.  It was a lovely night spent with lovely ladies Becca, Hayley and Hannah and the John Lewis crew.  Our make-up was done by Lauren from Benefit and our hair was seriously salt sprayed and tongued for a beach look.  Although all my outfit photography is done on the streets I do enjoy doing the odd studio shoot from time to time.  I should get the pictures next week before I go off on holiday again so I’ll post those as soon as they come in to show you what I styled as my summer looks.

I featured this skirt last week on it’s own but it actually came as a set with the matching top and was kindly sent to me by Persunmall.  This set is actually available at Zara but it’s sold as separates and would cost you £70 to buy them both together but the cost from Persunmall is only £23.23!  There’s a lot of Zara pieces on the website for much cheaper than you can buy them in a Zara store because most of their stock is made in China and these chinese websites simply bring us the best fashion direct from the manufacturer.  Check out their website here.

Tres En Vogue

It’s Friiiiiidaaaaaay!  It’s been a long week but full of events and fun type thangs.  I was out most of the day yesterday doing press days but I called it a day around 3:30 because I felt so I’ll.  I went home, got into my PJ’s and sat watching The Great British Bake Off with a left over Dominos pizza surrounded by my fur babies.  I’m feeling a lot better today (must have been the pizza!) and I’m off out again, which is unusual for a Friday because normally Friday’s are pretty quiet.  I’m off to do a shoot with Wallis so I’ll you y’all posted on that.  I’m giving myself weekends off from outfit posts on the blog from now on, but there will be some beauty posts over the weekend for you to peruse.

With A Slice Of Lemon

Right there’s a few things we need to discuss! Firstly these Zara mules will be the only footwear on my feet for at least the next week.  After the F&F show last week I came home with awful blisters over my heels and they just won’t heal (pardon the pun!), so this way they can air out and I can look bang on trend all at the same glorious time.  But really, these shoes will literally be the only shoes in the next weeks worth of outfit posts!

Secondly, erm, how amazeballs is this coat?!  I think it needs some kind of two-minute silence just to bask in it’s glory!  It’s a River Island number and as they are having one kick-ass season it’s not surprising that this is almost sold out everywhere.

Aaaaaand thirdly….It’s the day of the cruise!  If you have no idea what I’m talking about, see yesterdays post, it’s soooo not a cruise but I’m very excited, enough said, tally ho and on with the voyage!
