If In Doubt, Wear Them All

By far my favourite places to buy costume jewellery are Miss Selfridge and Topshop, especially around this time of year because all the festival themed pieces start to come out so you can pick up some really unusual styles (hand harnesses, head pieces and body chains etc).  Ok, so this super-layered look might not be practical, washing your hands is going to take an epic amount of time but I just love the look!  I’ve noticed that Toppers and Miss S have started coming out with loads of sets of rings which include stackers, midi and thumb styles and they’re really reasonable priced!  A couple of sets and you can create this look for under £20.  I think this look will be huge for festivals….and you don’t wash so hey no need to take them off 😉  There are more subtle ways to work this look but you can adjust it to suit your style and practicality.

Thanks to Impulse PR for hooking me up with all these gorgeous rings!

VIDEO: Dorothy Perkins Jewellery At LFW

On Day 1 of London Fashion Week I accessorised my outfit with gold Dorothy Perkins jewellery from their new collection.  I was interviewed by the dude that is The Very Simon G for a short video on style and my tips for styling your jewellery.  The video went live this morning and you can now watch it here (above)!
You can also shop my jewellery look from Dorothy Perkins below 🙂

Daisy Daze

I‘ve teamed up with Dorothy Perkins to show you their Spring line of jewellery titled ‘Daisy Daze’.  It couldn’t be more fitting for Spring!  The range includes a ring, stud earrings, elasticated bracelet, statement necklace and simple pendant necklace.  I’ve dressed them in a pastel spring outfit which is still suitable for this chilly weather we’re having at the moment.  There’s a lot of floral influence for SS14; Burberry, John Galliano, Ryan Lo, Eudon Choi to name but a few, and if florals on print are too much for you, why not go with the accessories!

A Pretty Party with Buckley & Bouton

Buckley London Cushion Trillion Ring £29.00

Earlier on this week I attended the #PrettyParty held at Cowshed on Carnaby Street where Jewellery brands Buckley London and Bouton showcased their beautiful collections.  Like a magpie I instantly started trying everything on, and if you follow me on Instagram (@emmahill) then you’ll have seen all the pictures I posted of those luscious rings.  The great thing about both Buckley and Bouton is that they are affordable!  Hoorah, cue the Christmas present list!  The Buckley collections are at a slightly cheaper price point but in no means does that compromise on design or style.  There’s something in there for everyone from vintage styles from ‘The Vintage Collection’ to more modern designs in the ‘Sparkle and Shine’ collection.  One of my favourite pieces was this Cushion Trillian Ring (above) which is part of ‘The Royal Collection’ and clearly has a hint of K-Middy about it.  Their pieces use clear Austrian crystals and the finest cubic zirconias and prices start from £29-£49.99 so will make for great Christmas gifts!
Bouton is a new premium sterling silver brand created by Adrian Buckley of Buckley Jewellery.  So it’s like the older sister of Buckley London.  The idea behind the name comes from the important role buttons have played in fashion and jewellery throughout the centuries.  As you will see on many of the designs there features a little button which I love as a signature statement.  My favourite piece from the collection is the gold pave bracelet (below) from the ‘Joie Collection’ (£250).  Bouton offer a 2 year international warranty of all of their jewellery and prices range from £35-£495.
I’d like to thank Cowshed for my lovely manicure which they did for me on the night using Essie ‘Luxedo’ (which you can buy here at Beauty Bay)
